Questions people ask

Straight answers about what Amina and Pendo do, what they never do, and how a workspace is set up.

What is an AI employee?
A named, specialized agent connected to your company knowledge, your tools, your schedules, and your approval rules. Amina runs operations: inbox, calendar, phone, meetings, CRM, follow-ups. Pendo runs content: posts, newsletters, campaigns. Jabari runs growth: he studies how you make money, builds a 90-day plan around one number, assigns the work to the other two, and reports every week. They hand work to each other and escalate to a person when a task needs one.
What can they do without asking me?
Read, label, look things up, save drafts, update internal records, and prepare briefs. Anything that leaves the company, touches money, or deletes something is held for approval unless you set a policy that allows it.
What is shadow mode?
The first two weeks of every workspace. Everything runs, every action is prepared, and nothing external goes out without a person approving it. You see exactly what they would have done.
Which tools do they work in?
Gmail and Google Calendar today. IMAP mailboxes on your own domain, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Slack, and LinkedIn are next. Until a tool is connected, the employees work in a private sandbox so you can test safely.
Do I need Google Workspace?
No. Most of our customers run their own domain on a host like GoDaddy or WordPress with the mailbox that came with it. Google is one connector; IMAP and Microsoft are following. Your website is what we read to set up the Brain, whatever host it is on.
How do they learn my business?
At onboarding we read your public website and draft the Brain from it: what you do, who you serve, how you sound, prices, and common questions. You correct it, and you can edit it any time on the Brain page.
Is my data used to train models?
No. Your data runs your workspace and nothing else. Model providers are used under business terms that exclude training.
How much does it cost?
You pay for the hours your AI employees work. Solo is $29 a month for Amina with 30 hours, Team is $59 for Amina, Pendo, and Jabari with 100 hours, Workforce is $99 with 250 hours, every future employee included, SSO and audit export. Yearly billing is about 20 percent less. Unlimited users and workspaces on every plan, one account per company. Implementation is separate: assisted onboarding is $299 one-time, custom implementation from $1,500, and a managed workforce from $299 a month on top of a plan.
Can they answer the phone?
Not yet. A receptionist employee with a business phone line, appointment booking, call transfer, and a choice of voice and accent is planned.
How will uBumi help us make money?
Before the team starts, Jabari evaluates your revenue model, customer journey, and pipeline from nine questions and your own data. He finds where you lose opportunities and builds a 90-day plan around one commercial goal. Amina and Pendo execute it, and Jabari measures qualified prospects, meetings, proposals, conversions, pipeline value, and revenue influenced, every week.
How do I reach a person?
Write to support@ubumiai.com. A person answers, usually the same business day. Inside the app, the account menu and the Billing page link to the same address.
What happens when they are unsure?
They escalate: the thread, their summary, and a suggested next step land in your needs-you list and in chat. Pricing not on the approved list, legal or tax questions, and complaints are always escalated.
